Today I am so excited to share with you my top 10 items we packed with us for our trip to Daytona Beach and Disney World! There were many items we packed that were super great to have, but these ones were our top 10.
So as you may know, we have been home for about a week now. We had an absolute blast on our trip and I can not believe it is over with already. Gosh I wish we were still there, but… life! Anyway… here it goes.
1. Ponchos
These were essential for us but especially last year. Funny story… 10 years ago me and the hubs went to Disney and we got poured on in Magic Kingdom and didn’t even think to pack ponchos. We ended up gettin soaked and eventually found a place to buy ponchos. They were way more expensive then buying them outside of the park. So I highly recommend buying a couple and keeping them in your bag. We bought ours at the Dollar Tree and they worked great! Enough to keep us dry.
2. Cooling towels
These towels were a real life saver especially for my hubby. He was skeptical at first but once he started using it he couldn’t believe how awesome they were. He now swears by them! They really do keep you cool throughout the day. It was 98-100 degrees when we went and cooling towels were 100% necessity! We got ours from Sportstrail and we can’t reccomend them enough! We got the large size and they were great!
3. Backpack/Diaper Bag
We were lucky enough to partner with Hafmall for this and they sent us an amazing “Diaper bag”. As you guys know my girls are 4 and 6 now but this bag rocks! Even for their ages this bag is our go to now. The best feature in my opinion is it is waterproof! It is stylish, so pretty but so functional. It has insulated compartments, a spot for wipes or tissues(without opening zippers to get them out), tons of space to hold all the things, stroller straps and so much more. My hubby also was a huge fan of this bag and was even carrying it around throughout the day. We had this bag packed with snacks, drinks and all the essentials and still had plenty of room. And the best part is this is under $40!!!!
4. Sunscreen
We went in mid July. HOT HOT HOT and SUNNY SUNNY SUNNY. Luckily there were tons of shaded areas and in the lines for rides it was nice and cool, but sunscreen of course is a must bring item!!!
5. Misting fan
We actually saw a ton of these at Magic Kingdom and my daughters wanted one but they were $22! Yes I know everything is expensive at Disney but we ended up going to Walmart and grabbing one for almost half the price. My girls loved it and used it allllllll day at Epcot. It was great to keep them cool.
6. Snacks
This is a MUST! We ate quite a bit at the parks in Disney but we still made sure we brought lots of snacks and gatorade. At most quick service restaurants you can ask for cups of water that are complimentary so we did that a lot during the day too to keep hydrated.
7. Autograph Book/Hat(and permanent markers)
This year we decided to get plain white hats and all different color permanent markers for the characters to autograph. It was SO fun and the girls love wearing them and showing how many characters they met! I have seen so many different ideas but this is a must for us. The kids love meeting them and getting their autographs!
8. Temporary tattoos
This year I made temporary tattoos with mine and my husbands phone number on them in case my girls got lost. My younger daughter still messes up my phone number a bit so we knew this was a good idea. You just never know! As much of a crazy mom I can be watching my kiddos and my hubs is the same way, it only takes one second for them to walk away. Luckily we had no issues and didn’t need to use those tattoos but it was peace of mind to have the girls have them on for sure!
9. Wipes/Hand sanitizer
Kids touch EVERYTHING!!! Every railing was touched, the ground was touched, the rides. All of it was touched so wipes and hand sanitizer were used all the time!
10. Gold Bond Defense stick
This may not be for everyone but for a girl like me that has a little bit of thicker thighs this was fantastic. I saw it raved about but we tried it for this trip and me and the hubs were super impressed. You can apply it anywhere you normally get chaffing. We each applied once before we left and had no issues throughout the day. We were both very very surprised at how well it worked for us!
11. BONUS ONE HERE
I am adding a bonus one here for all my girls that have to do their eyebrows everyday like me. It isn’t for everyone but this is huge for me. I have been searching and searching for a product that is really waterproof, sweatproof anf smudgeproof like it says. And you guys… I found it!!!!!!! Loreal Unbelievabrow. It is a GAME CHANGER!
I hope you guys enjoyed this. These were all essential items we needed for out trip and definitely would not have wanted to go without any of these. Leave a comment with your must have items to pack down below!!
